HIPAA Compliance Services Overview

HIPAA compliance requires operational discipline. Policies, systems, and daily procedures must protect patient health information, with clear evidence of secure data, limited access, and proper incident handling.

Who Needs HIPAA Compliance Services?

Medical & dental practices

Effective HIPAA compliance protects your organization from penalties and payer issues while reinforcing patient trust in data protection practices.

Behavioral health & specialty clinics

Consistent HIPAA protections defend your license, support referral networks, and uphold patient trust.

Billing, RCM & transcription providers

Securing patient data and maintaining Business Associate Agreements is a legal requirement, since breaches can quickly impact clients, revenue, and trust.

Healthtech & SaaS handling PHI

HIPAA compliance serves as a minimum standard for enterprise customers.

How We Make And Keep You HIPAA Compliant

HIPAA Readiness Call And Data Map

The initial step is understanding how PHI is used and stored, reviewing IT systems, vendors, and compliance pressure. We then map PHI flow so controls are grounded in verified details.

Policies, Procedures, And Documentation

We manage the full lifecycle of HIPAA policies, including security, privacy, access controls, device use, remote work, incident response, breach notification, and vendor oversight. Policies are aligned to standards and kept current in one platform.

Continuous Improvement

As regulations and risks evolve, compliance must be maintained. With Compliance as a Service, we keep HIPAA policies, controls, and documentation updated on an ongoing basis.

HIPAA Security Risk Analysis And Gap Assessment

We analyze risk across administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including systems, networks, cloud services, endpoints, and vendors. Results are delivered as a gap report with a ninety day action plan.

Training And Human Risk Reduction

HIPAA and security awareness training is provided for all key roles across your organization. Participation is tracked, and employees learn how to safeguard PHI and comply with policies.

Remediation And Implementation Of Controls

We deliver hands on implementation rather than assessments only. This includes stronger access controls, multi factor authentication, endpoint and email protection, hardened servers and cloud environments, secure remote access, and encrypted, tested backups. We work with staff to ensure lasting change.

Monitoring, Reporting, And Audit Readiness

After the foundation is complete, we focus on compliance maintenance. Our services include system monitoring, vulnerability management, repeated risk reviews, and clear reporting for leadership and auditors.

HIPAA Compliance FAQ

Practical details on effort, timelines, risk, and how BCA fits alongside your team and vendors.

Do we really need HIPAA compliance if we are a small practice or vendor?

Yes. HIPAA does not set a minimum size. If you create, receive, store, or process patient information, regulators can hold you responsible regardless of how many people are on your team. Small organizations are often targeted because their security controls are easier to bypass.

How much time and effort will this take from our staff?

Most of the heavy lifting is handled by BCA. You provide input on how you work, approve policies, and attend a few working sessions. We handle the risk analysis, technical work, documentation structure, and training content so your team is not trying to interpret regulations on their own.

Will BCA certify us as HIPAA compliant?

No company can issue an official HIPAA certificate. What we do is design, implement, and document the controls that the rules expect, then help you stay aligned over time. That puts you in a strong position for audits, payer reviews, cyber insurance questionnaires, and internal oversight.

How often do we need a HIPAA risk assessment?

Regulators expect risk analysis to be an ongoing process, not a single event. At a minimum it should be updated when you have major changes such as new systems, new locations, or significant incidents. As part of our program we revisit risk on a regular schedule so you always know where you stand.
